BRSG (Binsey Red Squirrel Group) was officially established in 2020 and is run entirely by local volunteers. Our mission is to help conserve and protect the remaining red squirrel populations in our area, ensuring they can breed, thrive, and continue to flourish in their natural habitat.

Our conservation work extends beyond the squirrels themselves. We also help protect and enhance the woodlands, trees, and other flora that form part of their habitat. These efforts support a wide range of wildlife, including many native songbird species.

Although we are a small team of just 10 dedicated volunteers, we are committed to making a positive difference for red squirrels and the wider environment in Cumbria.
